Why Rent at Thessaloniki Airport from a Skopje Company
Most Greek rental contracts forbid North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo. Ours are built for the Balkans; the Green Card is arranged with your booking.
SKG has far more low-cost routes than Skopje. Land in Greece, start the trip in Halkidiki or Thessaloniki, and drive north when you are ready.
Return at SKG, Skopje Airport, Skopje city, Ohrid or Pristina Airport — each leg carries that location's fee, shown in the quote.
No online prepayment, no credit-card hold beyond the refundable deposit, free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.

Thessaloniki Airport Car Rental — Frequently Asked Questions
How does car rental at Thessaloniki Airport with a Skopje company work?
We drive the car from Skopje to Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) — about 230 km and 3 hours via the Bogorodica–Evzoni border — and hand it over at arrivals at your flight time. At the end of the rental you return it at SKG or at any of our North Macedonia locations. Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) carries a €220 location fee per leg — charged for the pickup and again for the return there — shown in your quote before you confirm. The fee is shown in your quote before you confirm.
Can I drive the car from Thessaloniki into North Macedonia and other countries?
Yes — that is the point of renting from us at SKG. Zone 1 (€50/rental) covers Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria; Zone 2 (€80/rental) adds Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia. Tell us your route when booking; North Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro are the usual itineraries.
How much does it cost?
The daily rate comes from our pricing calendar — the table on this page shows each category's low- and peak-season rate, starting at €18/day for a mini class car on a 30-day rental and €23/day for a short rental today. Add €220 delivery fee per leg (pickup and return each count as a leg). VAT and unlimited mileage are included.
Is it cheaper to rent at Skopje Airport instead?
Usually yes if you can fly to Skopje: Skopje Airport pickup carries a €10 fee per leg against €220 delivery fee per leg at Thessaloniki. Thessaloniki wins when the flight is much cheaper, when you want to start in Greece, or when you need a car that is allowed into North Macedonia.
Do I need a deposit or a credit card?
Yes — our rental terms require a €100 deposit at pickup. It is refunded when the car comes back as it left. The rental itself is paid on arrival in cash (EUR) or by card; nothing is prepaid online.
What insurance is included?
Third-party liability insurance valid in Greece and the countries on your Green Card, plus 24/7 roadside assistance. Optional cover at extra cost: Insurance CDW (€200 excess) €7/day, Full Insurance (zero excess) €15/day.
What is the minimum age and which licence do I need?
Drivers must be at least 21 with at least one year of driving experience; drivers aged 21–25 pay a young-driver surcharge shown in the quote. An EU, UK, US or other licence in Latin script is accepted; an International Driving Permit is recommended for non-Latin licences.
Can I cancel for free?
Yes. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the pickup time, and because nothing is prepaid there is nothing to refund.
