Why the weekend price beats the daily rate
A weekend window covers Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning — about 70 hours. At a typical European daily rate of €40, three days would be €120. Our weekend flat rate at €78–140 is 35–50% cheaper when measured against equivalent international-chain pricing for the same window.
Two reasons we offer it:
- Local market reality — most Macedonian customers rent cars for short trips: a friend's wedding in Ohrid, a Skopje–Thessaloniki shopping run, a family weekend away. The weekend pattern is the dominant local use case
- Operational efficiency — a vehicle returning Monday morning is back in the rotation by Monday afternoon. The window aligns with our staff schedule and turnover process

If you finish your trip early and want to return Sunday evening rather than Monday morning, that's fine — the price doesn't change but it frees up the vehicle and our team early.
Cancellation and changes

- Late cancellation (under 24 h) — also free, but please tell us so we can release the car
Frequently Asked Questions
Is VAT really included or added at checkout?
Included. North Macedonia applies 18% VAT to car rentals, and our displayed prices already bake it in. A formal tax invoice with VAT broken out is available on request — useful for EU companies reclaiming via the VAT Refund Directive.
What's the long-term rental discount?
Weekly rentals (7+ days) use the D7 tariff, monthly (30+ days) the D30 tariff — both substantially lower per-day than the D1 rate. There's no flat 'percentage discount'; the calendar itself offers progressively lower per-day rates as the rental length grows.
Do you charge a deposit at pickup?
For mini, economy, automatic, and diesel categories: zero deposit. For SUV (Dacia Duster 4x4) and 7-seater vans (Peugeot Rifter, Dacia Jogger): a refundable €200 cash deposit at pickup, returned in full at drop-off provided no damage above CDW excess.
Are the prices the same in summer peak as winter?
No. Pricing follows a 5-season calendar (Spring, Late Spring, Summer Peak, Autumn-Winter, New Year). Summer peak (mid-July to mid-August) is the highest season; Autumn-Winter (November to February) is the cheapest. Plan around late September or early May for the best price-to-weather balance.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my booking?
Cancellations made 48 hours before pickup are free. Within 48 hours, a one-day rate may be retained. No charge if your flight is cancelled — we re-schedule or refund in full. There's no deposit taken at booking, so 'losing a deposit' is impossible.
